Imagine how embarrassing it would be to actually die without leaving one final message on Facebook for all your friends to see and enjoy.
Well it may sound a little bit odd but there seem to be quite a few people out there who don’t want to pass away without leaving just one last message or video for their friends to see on Facebook.
And now the new ‘If I Die’ app lets people do just that – send a final video or written message as a wall post which is only delivered after your death.
It may sound a bit morbid but the new app is proving very popular – it already has many thousands of ‘likes’ on Facebook.
But how does the app know when you have actually died?
It would be such a shame if you just suddenly just decided to stop posting to Facebook for a while and then found, to your horror, that it had written you off as dead.
Well the app works by leaving the final posting up to three of your trusted friends – you select them in advance (obviously) and only when all three of them have confirmed your passing is your final wall post made available on the social networking site for all your friends to see.
The app makers, Willook, suggest people could share a life story or even choose to reveal that one big secret you never felt you could tell while you were still alive.
