Three clues which hint at the imminent arrival of the Nokia 808 Pureview to the U.S. (announcement due on Monday)

Nokia looks set to announce the arrival of its awesome 808 Pureview smartphone in the U.S….if the strange images on its Facebook page are anything to go by.

Three separate teaser images have been displayed on the social networking site – all with an overlay showing Monday’s date and all which can be linked to the number 808.

The 808 device comes with a massive 41-megapixel camera, making it the future of smartphone photography and more of a camera with a built in smartphone rather than the other way round.

The first teaser image to be displayed was a picture of Hawaii – significant because of its 808 area code.

The second was a grainy image of a Roland 808 Drum machine while the third was a close up of part of an 808 State album cover.

AllThingsD said that if the high end phone does come to the U.S. then the most likely scenario will be to offer it unlocked – ie not tied to a contract or carrier.
